THE CREATIVE ZINE ART, MEDIA & WRITING CONTEST

The Creative Zine team is thrilled to announce our first ever media, art & writing contest, in partnership with Climate Front India! We look forward to evaluating work that recognizes vulnerability, sincerity, creativity, engagement & beauty.

Guidelines for Submission

  • This contest is free to enter. There is no fee involved at any stage.

  • Age Eligibility: 13-19

  • Submit your work as a .pdf.

  • DONOT include your name in the document or the file name. Submissions will be evaluated name-blind to ensure fairness. 

  • All submissions must be in English.

  • Please include a brief explanation of  your work, and/or how your work relates to relevant and timely issues (optional, but highly recommended for art submissions).

  • Please also include a brief, third person biography, which will be added as contributor notes.

  • Plagiarism is not allowed. We do not accept submissions that include slurs or hate speech.

Writing

Prose: 11-12 point font, double-spaced, no more than 2,000 words

Poetry: 11-12 point font, single-spaced, no more than three pages per submission​​

Art

Both drawing and digital art is accepted. At least 300 DPI and at least 8' by 8' digitally. Please do not submit fan art.

Media

Film: features, episodics, XR, etc; less than 30 minutes

Music: vocal, instrumental; less than 10 minutes

OPTIONAL VIDEO RESPONSE: If you would like your voice to be heard regarding climate change, we give you a unique opportunity to shoot a less than 3 minute video of yourself to be uploaded on the Instagram page of Climate Front India. Kindly attach this video along with your entry in the email only.

Winners Receive

  • Publication in The Creative Zine (Writing & Art)

  • Detailed comments by the judges on the work submitted.

  • Certificate

  • Recognition of work by Climate Front India's Instagram

Result Announcement

First, Second and Third Place winners in each category will be announced in mid-March.

All participants, whose submission adheres to the guidelines, will receive participation certificates.
